Sam P. Copeland, D.O.
Dr. Copeland has practiced Osteopathic Manual Medicine since 1997. He graduated from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1981, completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in 1985, and practiced radiology in Traverse City until 1995. He has extensive training in manual medicine and is currently an adjunct faculty member with the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine’s CME department. He teaches a variety of Osteopathic courses to other D.O.s, M.D.s, and physical therapists each year. Dr. Copeland has also completed many hours of hands-on training from the Barral Institute.
One of the many interests Dr. Copeland has is in Neural Manipulation. The Technique of Neural Manipulation reduces nerve fixation, allowing the nerves to enhance conductivity and increase blood flow to the surrounding tissue. Therapeutic Neural Manipulation can help with some of the following:
